I started this blog to make it easy for my kids to make the same quick, economical, tasty and healthy food as they got at home.

VMK is simple no frills with no frills cooking. (There are a few recipes fancy enough to use for entertaining) I try to keep things healthy and nutritionally balanced, but I won't sacrifice taste. Most meals will serve two and many make enough for four and are ones that are good leftover for the next day.
My kitchen is too small for a MW so there are not many MW instructions, but these recipes usually take me around 30 min using the stove or oven.
These recipes don't use any small kitchen appliances that plug in. No mixers or blenders.
