Sauerkraut Pork Chops

2 pork chops
1/2 med onion sliced
1/2 large can or 1 small can sauerkraut (I like Bavarian sweet kraut)
1 tbsp oil

Brown chops and onion slices in oil. Add kraut and 1/4c water. Lower heat to simmer and cover (but allow steam to escape). Cook covered 20 min or until done, add more water if needed.
Serve with buttered noodles or fried potatos
Variation: Add a sliced peeled apple with the kraut.
