1/2 can corned beef
8 slices of rye bread or 4 rye rolls
sweet kraut
horseradish
brown mustard
4 slices swiss cheese
Put spreads on bread. Put corned beef on 4 pieces of bread. Put cheese on the other four. Put well-drained sauerkraut on top of the cheese. (the cheese keeps the kraut from sogging the bread) Do not close the sandwiches, put the eight pieces of bread open face on a baking sheet under the broiler. The cheese will start to melt and the corned beef will get hot. Then put the sandwiches together. and toast the outsides.
