Guatemalan Coleslaw -no mayo recipe


1 c finely shredded cabbage
2-3 tsp finely chopped onion
(1-2 finely shredded radishes optional)
2-3 tsp lemon juice
dash red pepper powder or flakes or sauce
1tbsp sugar
dash salt
Toss all together. adjust sugar and salt to taste. Refrigerate covered. Use the cabbage from earlier in the week. Tip: recycle a plastic bread bag to store the head of cabbage.
